Stephanie is a fully licensed Clinical Social Worker in Michigan. A former gymnast for the University of Michigan, Stephanie learned firsthand the physical, mental and emotional demands required to perform at a high level. Stephanie competed during her first three seasons, helping the team win Big Ten Championship titles and qualify to NCAA Championships, before suffering a career-ending injury. Stephanie went on to fulfill the role of a student undergraduate assistant coach for her senior year, further developing leadership skills and supporting her teammates both in and out of the gym.

After receiving her Bachelor degree in Psychology in Ann Arbor, she went on to receive her Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. On a daily basis, Stephanie spends her time working with individuals between the ages of 7 and 65 on a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief and adjustment, among others. Stephanie has also gained valuable experience working with athletes in a number of sports, both at the club and collegiate levels, surrounding aspects such as competition anxiety, mental blocks, injuries, the balance of academics and athletics, and the transition out of sport.

A former bio and neurofeedback provider, Stephanie developed strong skills in understanding brain waves and just how large of a role sleep, exercise and diet play in mental health. She also is passionate in providing education on the techniques of mindfulness, deep breathing and visualization. She uses these, as well as solution-focused and cognitive/behavioral techniques to help her clients with stress management and peak performance.

Stephanie is also a member of the Alliance of Social Workers in Sports (ASWIS). This provides her the opportunity to work with other sport mental health professionals around the country, learning the newest and best techniques for working with athletes. Through ASWIS, Stephanie has had the opportunity to attend yearly conferences and present on topics that are important to her.

No matter if you are an athlete or a performer, having the ability to manage stress and gain a mental edge on your performance is going to help you be the best possible version of yourself. Sometimes we can achieve a lot on our own, but there is great benefit to having someone walk along the journey with you and Stephanie would love to be that person.
